As a teenager, I listened to a lot of music that today I no longer would let through my speakers. One of those voices from my youth was Ozzy Osbourne. Whether it was his time with Black Sabbath or his solo work, Ozzy’s voice was unmistakable—raw, haunting, powerful. Even in his later years, his vocal ability stood out. Say what you will, the man had talent.
But now, the music has stopped.
Ozzy has passed on. And like every man who’s ever walked this earth, he now stands before the only Judge who matters. There are no platinum records in heaven. No encore performances. No award shows. Just the truth.
This isn’t about judging his soul—we leave that to God. But Scripture is crystal clear: “It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews chapter nine verse twenty-seven)
That’s the part too many ignore.
Ozzy's life was filled with extremes—fame, fortune, chaos, addiction, and spiritual confusion. I’m not here to ridicule him. I’m not writing this to mock his legacy or sensationalize his death. I’m writing this because his death is a sobering reminder of how urgent the Gospel really is.
You and I may not have a tour bus or a million fans, but we all have the same appointment with eternity. And the only thing that will matter on that day is this: Did you know Yahoshua as your Lord and Savior? Not “Did you believe in God?” Not “Did you do more good than bad?” But Were you born again? Did you repent? Did you surrender your life to Christ?
Ozzy's passing should make every one of us pause and reflect. No one is too famous to die. No one is too iconic to escape judgment. And no one—no matter how rebellious or broken—is beyond redemption while there’s still breath in their lungs.
But after that? The window closes.
We can't pray people into heaven after they’re gone. That’s not how it works. Once this life ends, so do the chances. That’s why it matters what you believe now.
So if you're reading this, consider this your wake-up call. If someone as larger-than-life as Ozzy Osbourne can be called home in a moment, so can you. No stage lights. No crowd. Just you and God.
Choose today whom you will serve. Not later. Not someday. Today.
